Lately I have been feeling kind of stressed, this year is a big year for me and I am honestly not prepared for what is to come. Stress is the worst thing and pretty much everyone feels it, just to a different degree or intensity and unlike some I tend not to handle it too well. I often end up panicking too much or think that there is no way out and of course this is ridiculous because in most cases, for me anyway, there is always a solution or a way of overcoming an issue.

One of the worst things is feeling as if you can’t talk to anybody, as if there is not one person out there that can possibly feel what you are feeling or that can possibly help you to sort it out. Trust me when I say this, there is no point in holding everything in just to make everyone believe that you’re the strongest person in the world. We all know that perfection does not exist and so it’s not mentally or physically possible for flaws and worries to not exist – we have imperfections and that’s not a bad thing. You should never feel as if you have to hold it together all of the time. We are human for goodness sake!! We’re allowed to breathe and take time for ourselves!

If you’re feeling stressed, talk it out with someone or if you feel as if those around you won’t understand, then write it down just so that you can get it out of your system and look back at it and maybe that way, by seeing what the problem is, you can find a solution.

Some suggest that you should turn that feeling of stress into a positive emotion by doing something productive to make you feel as if you’re making progress – and by the way, this doesn’t mean working yourself into the ground to convince yourself that things will get better!!

I hope that you can find a way of easing your stress using the tips mentioned before and if all else fails just remember…“stressed spelled backwards is desserts”!

ENJOY!!

Bonjour!

I am definitely not going to attempt to write this post in French because that might just be…well…disastrous! Spring is approaching and I for one cannot wait for the new clothes and trends that will be hitting the stores very soon. We are definitely still in that transition stage where it's sunny but kind of cold too so you’re stuck on what exactly you should wear.

This top from New Look is so cool! I have had my eye on it for quite a while and I finally decided to go ahead and buy it – the timing had to be right, you know how it is! The pastel pink colour is perfect for spring and weirdly enough is not a colour I would usually have in my wardrobe.

I decided to go ahead and pair it with black jeans and a leather jacket in order to edge it up and give it more of a rock chic vibe, I love it!

Enjoy!

London Fashion Weekend was an absolute blast! I not only managed to spend quality time with my sister (The Skinny Hot Choc) but I also managed to witness the latest trends and must-haves at the catwalk show.

Somerset House is so beautiful and I couldn't think of a better place to hold the event! There were so many brands showcasing their new goodies and The Cambridge Satchel Company had so many bags that were – excuse me – “to die for!” I have the neon pink satchel that I have been wearing non-stop since I have gotten it (maybe I could do a post on it – hmmm…).

Anyway I have put together a series of my favourite photos from the event below and I hope that you have as much fun perusing the fashions, as I had photographing them!

Enjoy! :D

This hairstyle is seriously taking over the world! I am obsessed with it!! For those of you who don’t know, the LOB is a long bob, usually somewhere near your shoulders – sometimes slightly above, at other times slightly below. My sister for one who, by the way, also has a blog (The Skinny Hot Choc), has now cut her hair to what I consider to be the perfect length. She is still able to do stuff with her hair whilst also having the option to wear it down and for it to look completely effortless (she did a post on it here).

I have cut my hair to round about this length before and have loved it but there was always that part of me that wanted my long hair back, especially that one time when I was trying to do a fishtail braid to the side and every little layer I had kept popping out and I had to give up – it was a stressful time for me!

I was very much inspired by the likes of Gemma Pranita, Ashleigh Brewer, Renee Bargh, Sincerely Jules and so many others who had decided to give their hair a nice chop. I have now, after writing this, convinced myself to give my hair that same chop and go back to those times when I didn’t have to worry about my hair looking straggly and getting in the way. These days it is a constant hair whack that occurs every few minutes that allows me to get my hair out of my face just so that I can see – this change needs to happen, not just because of how convenient it will be but because it will symbolise a fresh start in my life, one more positive and different to the one I had before, i.e. last year.

I'm going to do it!!

It’s cold!!! Trust me I understand that the seasons have to change but seriously now, it’s like living in an igloo! I don’t know about you but there are those odd days when you get to walk home and the sun is shining and it really helps you to forget that crisp early morning that you experienced when you thought your throat was going to close up and turn into an icicle.

Of course I exaggerate… *sighs*

Spending almost a month in Greece last summer definitely did not help; especially when you start reminiscing on the good times! I remember spending all of my time soaking up the rays, relaxing and doing absolutely nothing apart from admiring the beauty around me. I had such a great time, if only I had spent more time on the roof – now you may have taken that the wrong way but just to assure you, when I say roof I mean flat roof, top of the house, secure with railings (perfectly safe) and topped off with a Greek flag – what else!

I remember waking up every morning and looking forward to my day, I was far away from my worries, I didn’t have to be anywhere at a specific time and I was able to go to the beach whenever I wanted to. There was nothing better than feeling peaceful and happy with everyone around you and being able to do what you wanted to do for a change rather than having to follow a schedule.

I loved it there and for once I didn’t feel like it was just another holiday in Greece. Something about me was different this time because I didn’t feel so insecure, I felt like me and I’m happy about that fact!

XOXO
