Oh Barcelona!

It was without a doubt that as soon as I arrived at my room in the Capri by Fraser Hotel Residences I played George Ezra's beautiful song 'Barcelona' - it seemed entirely fitting and I was glad to just be spending time away from London and its grey, grey weather!

Barcelona was a dream with its stunning buildings all with such intricate architecture, bright colours and dreamy water fountains set out in front. The most stunning of all was La Sagrada Família as it was, without a doubt, the Disney Castle of Spain and with each glimpse that I caught of it scraping into the sky, I was in complete awe of its sheer height and striking detail!

I would have to say however that the highlight of the holiday was Font Màgica! I have seen a number of amazing places but there was something about reaching the top of the stairs of Palau Nacional and being able to look out at such a vast expanse of land and feeling as if you're the only person in the world and all of what you're seeing is for you! The fountain. Everything.

The trip ended with one last play of 'Barcelona' and a bittersweet morning spent sitting on a bench shaded by a tree with the sun's rays reaching through every branch and delicately laying on my skin...peaceful.

XOXO
